World Veterans' Championship May Be Held Annually

1999.10.15
from the USFA web site

According to a meeting held at the World Veterans Championships it has been proposed that the Veterans World Championships be held annually. Although the FIE has not made a final decision on this proposal, the NAC Veterans competitions in December (Palm Springs) WILL COUNT for selection to that World team in 2000, should selection be necessary. Thus it is advisable for any Veteran fencer interested in earning a berth on the World Veterans team to compete in Palm Springs. The specific manner of calculating point standings will be reviewed by the Veterans Committee at a meeting to be held in Palm Springs.

The USFA has not received any notification from the FIE that these World Championships for Veterans will be held next year. As soon as official notification is received (one way or the other), it will be posted here on the website.
