Surprising Rule Change Approved by USFA Board of Directors

The USFA Board of Directors has approved an important rule change:

Effective March 1, 2000 — and in all three weapons — reverse the signal lights on scoring machines to indicate the fencer who scores the touch instead of the fencer who is touched. In layman terms: plug the floor cords into the opposite side of the scoring machine.
