Learn about two spetacular 2000 Spring Steel developments

In 1977, Murray State University faculty and students formed the MSU Fencing Club. The club is a member of the United States Fencing Association (USFA), USFA Great Lakes Section, and USFA Kentucky Division.

In 1988, an accredited university class was organized. Legendary MSU fencer Tim Elder served as senior instructor for most of its lifetime.

Fencing continues at MSU through both of these establishments. We invite you to learn more about fencing through this site, and to join us in our pursuit of fine swordsmanship!
