The following table details student demographics, grades, tournament performances, and awards since Jason M. Purcell became its senior instructor in the fall of 1996.

Students who enrolled but failed to appear at even a single class have been included in the enrollment statistics.

Students who failed to properly drop the class and who therefore were given failing grades are not counted as completions, and their grades are not included in any calculations.

As the chart shows, women have consistently out-performed men in regards to both academics and awards, yet have performed only equally with them in tournaments. Nevertheless, it is the opinion of the senior instructor that women are generally superior fencers. (This observation is limited to the scope of this class.) An article supporting this opinion will be posted in the near future.
