Preliminaries
In round one, fencers will be divided into multiple pools based upon the number of competitors. Fencers will draw for pools and positions. Each pool will fence an inter-pool single round-robin of 5-touch bouts. Depending on the number of competitors, some fencers may be eliminated from the competiton based on their results in this round.

Finals

Features
The Curris Center is Murray State University's student center, and as such is a hub of activity. Its Dance Lounge, while only providing room for one strip, is an elegant and highly-public arena in which to fence. Climate control is excellent; rest areas are comfortable; large, clean restrooms are nearby, and eateries are located within the facility.

Excepting space, the only major negative aspect of the Curris Center Dance Lounge as a fencing arena is its inadequate lighting. However, the Organizing Committee will make arrangements for additional lighting during the tournament.
